the 2nd Division's duties are The 2nd division being directly tied in with the Onmitsukidō, each of the top 5 seated officers is in charge of a certain division of the Special Forces. So as the stealth force they are very secretive. Like all Barracks they house the squad members and training areas.

The 3rd squad's barracks, this squad's duty is to preform recon on enemy forces and work the early warning systems of the squads. They tend to mobilize inorder to note the power of the enemy before reporting back to a more combative squad. Like all barracks these buildings have housing and training areas.

The 4th Division is the medical/supply division. They are responsible for both treating the injured and doing most of the manual labor, such as cleaning the Seireitei. Their Barracks is also home to the advanced relief station.

Squad 5 is a basically the Kido combat core. They are often called when heavy kido use is needed during combat. Although not ask skilled in the use of Kido as the Kido Corp, they specialize in using these kido in combat unlike the Kido Crop. The barracks also hold the training grounds and housing space.

The squad is known for its strict adherence to rules and it's forceful law enforcement tactics. They are in charge of guarding the low priority criminals. The Barracks House the shinigami and training areas.

Squad 7 is charged with keeping the peace in the Rukongai and Seireitei. They tend to be charged with dealing with hostel elements among the people of soul society, that could mean subduing or separating the points of conflict.

This squad works as the Mass reinforcements squad. When a group is being overwhelmed the 8th squad is sent in as combat support. They often travel in groups to deal with threats quickly when their assistance is needed. The barracks also hold the Great library where the large majority of soul society history is stored.

The squad is charged with investigation of situations within the soul society and they deal as detectives of the soul society. They also moderate the Seireitei weekly news letter.

Charged with guardianship of the human world squad ten is expected to investigate and eliminate threats to the human world; thus, they spend more time in the human world than any other squad.

Squad 11 is the primary combat unit and front line fighters in war times. Known for there aggressive nature they consider use of kido dishonorable so they rely on melee combat. The barracks hold the training areas and housing areas.

The 12th Division develops new technology and spiritual tools and its been the home of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. Members are tasked with research and collection of data and samples

The squads main duty is Patrol jobs though Soul society and the world of the living. They are charged with guarding their post to their final breath.
